The psychotherapy office of Camilla Busnovetsky, MFT is a light-filled gem. With bay windows overlooking bustling Irving Street, it was important to make the office feel calm and airy. By bringing in light, sun-bleached colors along with natural materials and textures, the office becomes a respite from the stressors of the outside and allows patients to reflect within during their time in the space.
The waiting area of 2762 Octavia was jokingly referred to as “the interrogation room”. A lack of natural light and 13 foot high ceilings made this a challenging space to furnish. Bringing in muted blues and greys warm up the space, while matte black accents keep it modern and professional.

This psychotherapy office was designed as a neutral base for therapists who are building their practices. It is a space that is functional for use by more than one practitioner throughout the work week. The goal was for the space to be simple, bright, and fresh.
We also did a quick refresh of the compact waiting area.

Colette (11) and Gigi (9) were ready for some bedroom overhauls.
Colette’s favorite things: lavender, Stranger Things, and Billie Eilish.
Gigi’s favorite things: turquoise, gold, and basketball.
Et voila! 2 bedrooms for 2 girls that fit each unique personality and will grow with them through time.

The common areas of 527 Irving were in desperate need of a facelift. While working with existing period details, like the built in bench and original light fixtures, I was able to refresh the space by incorporating more modern elements. The waiting area is both cheerful and serene, and the powder room/washroom areas are functional and soothing for both patients and practitioners who share the space.
